In the late 1970's, Jim Vipond, a well-known southern Ontario sportswriter, initiated the first Vipond Golf Classic. Riverside Country Club hosted
Saskatoon’s first Vipond Classic in 1983 with proceeds distributed to local organizations. This charity event runs in two draws(AM and PM) and
is open to everyone but spots are limited. Sponsors with complimentary teams and Riverside Member teams are placed first.
All sponsorships and individual golfer fees are eligible for a charitable tax receipt subject to CRA requirements.
